A lot of negative media surrounded South Africa's involvement during that time, causing the true heroic story of the individuals involved to be completely lost and forgotten. It is disheartening how gullible we sometimes are when reading media reports. We tend not to question them, believing every bit of sensationalism presented to us. I was surprised at how little even I knew about that event in 2013 and more importantly my country's many military efforts abroad.
