Analog Algorithm: Source-related Grid Systems
Christoph Grünberger (*1975) is a German Art Director and Author. He is active in the fields of corporate-, interactive- and spatial design, with a strong focus on exploring the limits of interaction and desktop applications. His books have been published by Gestalten, Distanz, Lars-Müller- and Niggli-publishers. In his position as an Art Director, he works with a variety of blue-chip companies in different channels. These results have been awarded nationally and internationally. At the moment he is sorting out everything for a new, ambitious book project, which is to be published in the near future.
The grid, as a crucial auxiliary reference factor in graphic design and a benchmark for design, plays a key role in the final presentation of a project. Based on the grid, this book Analog Algorithm: Source-related Grid Systems uses algorithms to clarify a set of deep logical thinking principles that should be followed in design rather than blind action. It provides designers and architects with the tools they need to find and analyze forms, and points out the creation of new forms, new fonts, techniques for new logos and even new graphics.
