An experienced district sales manager and former regional training specialist, Zariq Siddiqui has earned several distinctions as a member of the Abbott Laboratories sales force. He was appointed to the 2011 Sales and Marketing Advisory Committee and named a 2011 DM Mentor. As part of his training, Zariq Siddiqui earned a Certified Medical Representative (CMR) credential from the CMR Institute.
The CMR Institute equips pharmaceutical sales professionals with targeted expertise to help them communicate more effectively with their clients in the health care profession. Over 8,500 sales representatives have achieved certification through the institute, which offers 35 complete courses as well as eight specialty certificates. The specialty certificates boost sales skills and professional knowledge in high-demand pharmaceutical product areas such as asthma, diabetes, disease management, and managed health care.
The overwhelming majority of CMR trainees, 86 percent, said in an independent study that they attribute their effectiveness in the field to the institute’s educational resources. Ninety-nine percent said they would recommend CMR training programs to others.
