The Absolut Vodka campaigns have always got my attention by their creativity,
using the iconic bottle as the main element to tell different stories with intelligence, simplicity, and good humor.
This project is an animated version of a concept poster I produced in 2010 to participate in Bienal Brasileira de Design. While making the original piece, I imagined how I could animate the elements in the scene, so twelve years later, I put those ideas into practice.
The animation was produced in Blender and rendered in Cycles, and for the fluid simulations, I used Flip Fluids. Graphic elements were made in Illustrator and Photoshop, and the final composition in After Effects.

I started trying to write the word “oil” by making the inflow object follow a pre-defined path, but I realized it wasn’t the correct way (as you can see). So I defined some keyframes to animate the inflow object following a path and got a better result.
