Spatial Graphic Design
The brief was to firstly find a book that was an out - of - print book then design a contemporary response in the form of a walk - in book cover and produce it as a graphic design installation for exhibition purposes.
In addition to the installation, I had to research and identify one particular technology that would enhance the immersive message and / or make my design multi-sensory.

The images below show my installation for 'Wonk Flies High'.
I used origami to create Wonk the Koala, I created him out of around 800 pieces of folded paper. This then inspired me to use other paper techniques to create the grass and tissue paper for the clouds, the three-dimensional aspect and texture help to strengthen the overall appearance of the installation and are suitable for the themes and audience of the original book.
