For two years, I have been writing in support of a number of cybersecurity initiatives in the orbit of the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards' Open C2 Command and Control efforts.
What began as an attempt to leverage narrative experience into forward facing interpretations of technical language has become a masterclass in normative language, documentation, and standards support. I frequently work in markdown and deliver via GitHub.
In my time collaborating with sFractal Consulting, I have provided ghostwriting, biography, use case descriptions, video game copy, and technical editing abilities to complex problems spanning very large operational spaces. Maybe you saw our work at the RSAConference2022 Supply Chain Sandbox. More to the point in cybersecurity, hopefully you didn't encounter any of the problems I work to explicate.
My technical background is greater than the national average, but still limited to the point that I am frequently the least informed person in the room. This is extra-challenging, especially in my former capacity as a member of the Oasis OpenC2 Technical Committee (2021-2022), where precise communication about SBOM, PACE, VEX, Kestrel Hunting, and STIX are of vital importance.
