SÀI GÒN PHỒN HOA (English name: Saigon - The Vibrant City )
is a public event established with the purpose of engaging
Ho Chi Minh city and the communities within it

The main focused theme is the "Đồ Bộ" culture. Đồ Bộ (/do bo/), a type of pajama that originated from the West of Vietnam, has been popular with Ho Chi Minh's women's community since
its last moving to the city decades ago.

The aim of the event is not only to reintroduce a familiar, long-standing outfit in Saigon women’s dressing culture which is facing the gravity of being lost due to generational changes, but also to give the audience
a new perspective on the lives of Saigon women in those outfits, honoring their labor beauty
and personal values in everyday life, which also exist among Saigon people's personalities,
in an urban context where traditional traits go together with modernity.
