I was invited to realize a project inside a black cube, a space dedicated to exhibitions located in the hall of a beautiful independent theatre: an industrial structure called cantieri teatrali koreja in lecce.

I realized two self-portraits ( a formal and a conceptual one) filling the capsules of the pluriball with black ink.  I hung them in the cube like a pulley anchored to two heavy concrete blocks.

The public could climb the outside steps of the cube and look inside from a little window with the possibility to interact with the self-portrait by shooting at it with a gas gun.

 "Paradoxically 'individuality' is a matter of 'crowd spirit' and a demand enforced by a crowd . To be an individual means to be like everyone else in the crowd, indeed identical with everyone else." I didn't say that but Bauman did.

There's not a perfect, isolated, unique self but it exists  just in relation with the other and the surroundings.

Our identity, like a mandala, is made to blow with the next wind.

Relax and accept it.
