2019年，B站启动“小宇宙计划”，鼓励在校学生和独立动画人投稿国产动画短片。为了挖掘更多优秀创作者，今年B站宣布将“小宇宙计划”升级为面向群体更广泛的“寻光”计划。

针对不同的动画创作者群体，“寻光”分为三个子计划。其中，“原石计划”面向最广泛的动画爱好者，通过B站动画区征稿活动，挖掘有潜力的创作人；“胶囊计划”则面向所有热爱动画、有制作能力的专业团队，输出先锋和精品的短片内容；“小宇宙计划”则持续负责寻觅有潜力的艺术类高校学生和独立动画人。

此次合作是位推广寻光计划而创作的概念宣传片。

全片从定格动画到2d作画到实拍合成，到3d，通过一个向前奔跑的”火柴人“作为整个影片的主线，通过不断升级的画风和小人在跑动中遇到的挫折和帮助，展现了一个怀揣动画梦想初心者通过不断自学并且依靠网络（B站) 获得支持与帮助，到最终作品被全世界看见的成长历程.
