This ad was created as a part of a campaign for the RBS TV / Santa Catarina (TV), to invite people to the many ethnic festivals that happen in october in the Santa Catarina state. For this illustration, each party was represented as a different character, typically found on each of the cellebrations. 

 

Each of them was created in detail, so they seemed to be interacting, and could later be animated and used for the TV ad. You can watch it on the video above.

Each character, besides being painted in detail, also had to be created in a way that could be used for animation later.

 

Each part of the bodies was made separately, with hidden parts also being drawn so they could be shown when animated.
