ILL 301.2 Integrated Social Campaign

ILL 301.2 Integrated Social Campaign
Project Brief
Internet fraud. Phishing. Catfishing. Nigerian princes. Tindler Swindler. The World’s Worst Roommates. Jerry from Cheer. Cyber scamming and internet fraud can range from the benign and irritating, to potentially devastating and dangerous. As we live increasingly digital lives, we become prey to scams, fraud, trickery and sinister criminal activity.
Your task is to create a campaign that will make people sit up, take notice, think twice and hopefully, just maybe, be more aware and awake to potential cyber scamming.

Design Strategy
When presented with the theme of Online scammers/hackers and destructive Online scamming schemes, my immediate thoughts drifted to the ever annoying pop-up ads and cookies that you’re required to accept to gain access to a websites content, or the attachment that the link is advertising. My target audience is predominantly students as they’re less prone to be aware of the permissions they allow on their pursuit for free content, whether that be educational or recreational. My campaign raises awareness about the corruption of software through the ever invasive method of malware that gains access to your computer through the permissions that you allow by clicking on links, cookies and suspicious attachments.
