Collective Toolbox is a project that seeks to provide Staten Island residents with tools to empower a stronger and more resilient community. Working in collaboration with the Staten Island Long-Term Recovery Organization, we learned from the community about a dire need for tools directly after Superstorm Sandy. Much to the surprise of the team, the Staten Island community still expressed a need for tools over a year after Sandy occurred. Working much like a library, the Collective Toolbox is designed to bring open access to basic tools to the communities across Staten Island.
This project is a collab with my fellow MFA classmates at Pratt including Rob Wilson, Juan Carlos Rodriguez and John Lunn.
