Het Kleine Nachtorkest is een educatievoorstelling van Philharmonie Zuidnederland  in samenwerking met Oorkaan voor de jongste groepen van het primair onderwijs. Drie musici van het orkest, een violiste, celliste en een klarinettist komen naar school om een muzikale voorstelling te spelen over een muis, een kat en een jongetje. De muis en het jongetje zijn vriendjes, ze kunnen het goed vinden en blijken beiden muziek te kunnen spelen. Ieder heel mooi voor zichzelf, maar samen? Muis neemt het jongetje mee naar de ijskast en naar zijn muizenfamilie. De kat gooit roet in het eten. Al spelend proberen de muis en het jongetje de kat voor zich te winnen, dat is niet zo eenvoudig, de kat eet graag de muis. Uiteindelijk sluiten ze vrede en blijkt hun muzikale samenspel het te winnen van de voorliefde van de kat om muizen te eten. In de voorstelling is plaats voor participatie van de leerlingen wat in het voorbereidend lesmateriaal aan de leerlingen is aangeleerd.

Ontwerp en uitvoering van decor, kostuum en rekwisieten. Première op 27 februari 2014, uitvoering uitsluitend op scholen.

Het Kleine Nachtorkest is part of the education programme of The South Netherlands Philharmonic in collaboration with Oorkaan aiming at the youngest ones of primary school. Three musicians of the orchestra: a violinist, a cello player and a clarinettist are perfoming at schools. The story is about a mouse, a cat and a boy. The mouse and the boy become friends and appear to be able to play music. Both very nicely on their own, but together? Mouse brings the boy to his mouse family and to the kitchen, but Cat ruins everything. Whilst playing Mouse and the boy try to win Cat over, but it isn't simple, Cat wants to eat Mouse. Eventually they make amends and their musical joint effort prevails over Cat's love for eating mice. 

In the performance there is room for children to participate, which has been orchestrated during the education programme in class. 

I have designed and constructed the stage setting, costumes and props. Première in February 2014, performances exclusively on schools.
