Selected Article: My Priceless Summer on a Maine Lobster Boat by Luna Soley
I have illustrated Luna’s experience working on lobster fishing boat on a small island off Portland. Her writing is descriptive, for this reason the illustrations are detailed and rich in colour.
We were challenged to work within a limited colour palette; she mentions an inky blue sky, fog in the mornings and lobsters. This served as inspiration when developing the colour palette.
