Printer's Cookies is our seasonal gift for friends and clients. It is a box of letter-shaped gingerbread cookies made using custom 3D-printed dough cutters inspired by our logo.
We wanted to find an innovative yet delicious way of surprising people with a personal, hand-crafted gift. So we used a 3D printer to produce food-safe dough cutters in the shape of our logo's letters. The cookie shapes are also hot foiled actual-size on the box.
The product was created and produced in-house from the first draft through printing to baking (and eating). Of course, we baked the cookies following a secret and delicious family recipe and used only the highest quality materials and ingredients for printing and baking. We mixed uncoated paperboard, rose gold and transparent foils and lots of flour, molasses, brown sugar, ginger, etc.
The cookie cutters, based on our logo's typography, were designed and 3D printed to be used in the kitchen. Of course, food-safe resin was used.
The cookie shapes are an identical match to the hot foil on our outer packaging. They are the main visual element of the project.
