P.J. Clarke's Vegas Pin-Up

Illustration
This is one of two illustrations for P.J. Clarke's, Las Vegas billboard campaign. The idea was to invent a fictitious pin-up girl that would express the love for P.J. Clarke's cuisine. The two-part billboard campaign hits you the main drag heading to the Vegas Strip. The first billboard shows the woman preparing to taste a small piece of steak. The next billboard you see is the girl on her back, smoking a cigarette, and basking in the afterglow. Yes, it's that good. Only in Vegas baby!
This is the second billboard image. No explanation necessary.

The other part of the campaign was dressing the actual servers at the restaurant like the billboard pin-up girl. Carrying the theme to the site made for a complete thought.
These were some initial rough sketches experimenting with what the pin-up girl would wear and how she would play to the viewer. The top row is tasting the steak and the bottom row is smoking.
A final intermediate sketch is nailing down the finer details of the outfit. The fishnet hose were replaced with plain black and the pill box hat was dropped alltogether.
Final tight sketch that still has the fishnet hose.
