Liberty Mandala, WIP 9/12
Continuing with the Mandala series for the year, this is the latest inked project for Liberty Mandala. Starting the color work now and will add in final details as I finish up. Figure another week or two before it's done and ready for the print on demand store.

Color blocked the torch flare. While pretty, it's not where I want it yet, and it pulls far too much focus. I mean, the design itself puts a heavy emphasis on the Torch of Liberty by design, but the overall composition still has to balance. I'll try moving some color treatments around to create more of an Art Deco/ NY Gotham 'metallic' architectural embellishment kind of feel. But on the whole I'm happy with how this is developing.
AND... I love the way that Liberty's shading and coloring came out. LOVE. Very happy there.

Working on taming the color balance for the torch flare and adding in building details. Definitely WIP. But I trust the process. And on we go.
