The old logo was created 15 years ago and did a great job at that time. The main goal was to "refresh" it and turn it into a "brand" - to show how it will work on different media and merch. The band also wanted a minimalistic version of the entire lettering.
Problem

The old version of the logo was created in a raster editor and then converted to a vector. Because of this, many elements had sloppy edges and incorrect proportions in terms of font aesthetics.
The height of the remote elements was different, and because of this, the visual rhythm was a little off and broke the overall perception of the logo. In the new version, this has been fixed, and the logo has become more compact and visually balanced.
Also, the “tail” of the capital letter S stood out from the outline of the entire logo - in its shape, bend and proportions, it did not fit well with other elements (for example, the AR bundle or the central dash in E).

In the new version, I decided to add a serif to the capital letter, which is stylistically better combined with the rest of the letters in the logo.

In addition to the standard cap/t-shirt /poster set, the client asked to think about how tools and accessories could be branded.
