THESIS WORK "NOW YOU SEE ME, NOW YOU DON'T"

Fathers and daughters have a unique bond. Women who have a good relationship with their fathers are lucky enough to look back at their fond memories when they grow up. However, no father willingly decides to be absent from his daughter’s life. Sometimes life gives you a very tough time that you are left with no other options than taking a heart breaking decisions.
My thesis research topic is about my personal journey of 10 years where due to financial difficulties my father had to leave Pakistan and we both had to live in a long distance relationship for a whole decade. Through my research project I have highlighted 3 major ages and phases of my life and the different ways I tackle and responded to this sudden change in my life.
The first part highlighted my teenage phase were due to lack of maturity and understanding it was difficult for me to digest such a drastic change. In this part I further highlighted my response reactions of being stubborn, rude, angry and negative towards my father, making things difficult for him to handle. Within the same phase I also focused on the point of view and perspective of my father that how things were getting difficult for him in the new place and due to the sudden changes in his daughter’s behavior and nature.
The second part highlights my age of adolescence where because of my father’s constant efforts and my sense of maturity and responsibility, things started to get back to its norm. During this time, me and my father came a lot closer to each other. In this phase I have focused some important events of my life like my Engagement where I wanted my father to be with me but he was not there. I furthermore described our mutual feelings of being away from each other on such an important day of my life.
The last phase includes the time when after 10 years my father gave me a heart wrenching surprise by coming back to me. In this phase the feelings of joy, surprise, maturity and positivity are highlighted and the journey of 10 years was happily concluded.
