Science for Poets stemmed from Biodesign for the Real World. The project was aimed to design a Mobile Lab that would enable any person with a basic high school education to operate and efficiently use the same for scientific experiments. Arsenic poisoning is lethal and difficult to prevent or cure. This lab would also serve as a platform to test drinking water for Arsenic contamination hopefully to aid in spreading awareness about the detection and purification of Arsenic in water.
Theabove three pictures are of a prototype for a mobile laboratory. The project was initiated by Ecole Polytchnique Federale de Lausanne and in collaboration with Srishti school of Art, Design and Technology, Hackertia, artscienceBLR, and Lifepatch.
