CHALLET LE TILLEUL
Project for the renovation of a chalet in Leysin, Switzerland.
Wood has always symbolized growth, strength, resilience and naturalness. Metal, as a material, is its complete antagonist. But with the right proportions, they sufficiently emphasize the merits of each other. The polished surface of the metal and brushed wood add to the fundamentality and durability of the interior.
In the conceptual solution, we chose discreet colors rather than classic ones. The muted warmth of wood adds mood and texture, and the imperturbability of polished metal adds restraint and elegance. The interaction of such elements allows us to create functional furniture and topical decor and convey the feelings of a modern human - attachment to nature and admiration for urban fashion.
