I grew up in a family where such a concept as style is something native. My father, like my grandparents, are architects. As a child, I loved to spend time in their offices and loved to leaf through all sorts of magazines. The love for magazines has survived to this day and I keep magazines 15-20 years old. I love that tactile feel in the hands. In the era of digital information, magazines are a great and enjoyable way to get information.
In the description and summary, I mentioned my commitment to the European, in particular Italian style. Because I really love Italy and the Italian understanding of life. And also among my favorite brands, the majority are Italian.
In this project, I decided to combine the above things and create my own magazine inspired by Italy. This is a concept project purely for my portfolio. All photos are taken from free sources. Most of them belong to Brioni (my main inspiration), including fragments from the video. Also photos from Aqua di Parma and Instagram accounts about Italy.
Rispetto is a magazine originally from Italy for men all over the world. Rispetto is translated from Italian as honor, dignity, respect. The magazine is imbued with the aesthetics of Italian life and philosophy, as well as Rome and Milan. This publication has offices in such major cities as: Rome, Milan, Paris, London, Madrid, New York, etc. It is the world's leading publication dedicated to the development of men's style. It contains comments on men's style and many other aspects of men's life (art, design, travel, films, intellectual and philosophical reflections, luxury, sports). The cover of this edition featured the most influential men in the world such as Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Jude Law, Vincent Cassel, Daniel Craig, Matt Dillon and others.
Design should evoke such associations as elegance, sophistication, simplicity and confidence. Therefore, a black and white (or achromatic) color scheme was chosen.
Where black is associated with elegance and formality, while white inspires confidence and is associated with simplicity. The exception is photographs that are heavily visually accentuated, so the design will not look boring because of the achromatic palette. Since I was designing in August and September, the colors of the photos will be mostly beige and brown.
Headings will use serif fonts to emphasize tradition and reliability, and sans-serif body text to add simplicity and elegance. Geometry: shapes with corners will be used to create a sense of formality and solidity.

The site, like the magazine itself, is saturated with Italian aesthetics. It is designed to evoke such associations as elegance, sophistication, simplicity and confidence. This is an information site that contains articles. The site also allows you to subscribe, order the magazine and subscribe to the newsletter.
The site uses a standard 12-column grid. Before the site was fully approved, many prototypes were developed to see which option was more intuitive. The site is quite simple, without complex graphic elements, because the emphasis was on making it very user-friendly and intuitive.
On the first screen, there is a logo and categories of articles that a person can get into with one touch, located in the photo from the latest articles. Also subscribe and mailout target buttons, as well as other standard buttons.
The main page contains the latest articles, divided into categories, which makes it possible to immediately jump to the material of interest and view more articles on the topic. If you are logged in, you can select your favorite topics or authors and their latest articles will be displayed first on the main page.
On the article page, the top part remains the same, then comes the text with the photo. After reading an article, you will be offered the latest articles or, if you are logged in, the latest articles on your favorite topics or from featured authors.
The footer contains a brief history of the brand, all categories of articles and all the necessary information, such as contact details and information about vacancies, for example. As well as the cover of the magazine with the target button “order”.
Thanks a lot for watching
