The Inevitability of the Future

Two oil paintings: the inevitable future and immovable past - the unicorn represents illusions, alter ego - the other me we would like to be or become one day. It's hard to guess how our lives will look in 30 years - will we move to Mars? Will it still be possible to live on Earth? The water buffalo stands for the traditions that in modern days have lost their purpose to explain unexplainable things involving unknown forces. Will these traditions live, will future generations keep the past of their families and continue the cycle of traditions that started centuries ago?
