The project of today was a memorial photo for a co-worker and friend. Sometimes the best photo has someone else in it, so I had to Isolate Elizabeth. The original photo was really faded but I was able to bring back a lot of the natural color that was very faint. It was minimal color painting, mainly in the background. I ended up having to make a background that had both of them completely Content-Awared out of the whole photo, then I blurred the background to make a smoother blue, then added a grain back to it. It turned out nicely, The photos were also a surprise, and she loved it so much that she started crying and gave me a hug. This is why I love doing this. it's one of the most rewarding jobs. There is nothing quite like bringing new life into an old photo.
