Place. The proyect take place at Guadalajara city in México. Next to the site is located the "Plaza del Arte" wich is found between the Chapultepec Av. and Mariano Otero Av.
Objective. It is make the first step to solve one of the main problems of Guadalajara, as a horizontal city. Most of the population has left the city center to the suburbs to live. This causes the distances are long, due to the insufficiency of public transportation, use of car is required.
Another point about the project is the intervention of the old Plaza del Arte where there is located the Museum Raúl Anguiano (MURA) and the Teather Torres Bodet. At present, the Plaza del Arte is not the greatness or importance it had years ago. Now only works as a parking lot for local residents.
Concept. The complex is peripherally traced to the site, in order to create the plaza in the middle. An open-air market is created for local merchants to sell their products, specific days in the morning. This is inspired by the famous square called Campo de' Fiori in Rome, Italy.
Traffic. Crosswalks to the square are "narrow" to create a feeling of outside - inside. They are located at a suitable distance so the user can access the place from different points without having to walk more than 50 meters between them.
