To Collect The Real Data,
We Did A Guerilla Survey In A Few Place With Different Age Groups.

From Our Guerilla Survey,
Although There Are Other Issues Mentioned, The Issue That Was Mentioned The Most Was Long Waiting Time During Hospital Visit At Government Hospital. Thus, We Decided To Focus On One Main Issue For Our Project;

Long Waiting Time At Government Hospital

As For Our Target Audience, We Believe That Middle Aged Citizens Visit The Hospital More Regularly By Referring To Our Guerilla Survey Data. Therefore, We Choose To Focus On The

Age Group Of 31 - 50

For Our Project, We Are Using The Map Of Rentas Hospital As
The Base Of The Map Used In Our “Educational Material” For
Location & Direction Guidance Purposes.

We Used 3 Different Thicknesses Of Paper For Testing, They Are Normal, Thick And Thin.

We Added 2 Paper Cards To The Top Left & Bottom Right Of The Paper, To Make It Easier To Open.

Finally, We Tested Print Out The Colored & Uncolored Versions To See How It Feels.

Exploration Of The Design & Content

For Our Signage Board,
We Experimented A Few Different Designs That Able To Display Enough Information.

We Adopted A Completely Different Design From The Signage On The Market. We Divided The Signage Into 3 Parts, Namely Direction, Department & Other Parts

Afterwards, We Fasten Them With Pegboards. In This Way, This Signage Able To Display Information Whilst Look Distinctive & Layered.

The Digital Signage, Although The Design & Layout Are All Similar To The Physical Version. All Four Sections Of The Signage (Arrow, Left, Middle And Right) Are All Digital Displays.

The Arrow Section Is Designed To Show The Direction Of The Patient’s Room & It Would Change According To The Current Number’s Room Number.

The Left Section States The Name & Code Of The Department. Colors & Information Changes Along With Which Department It Is Placed At.

The Middle Section Is The Status Section Where The Current Number & Room Number Is Displayed.

The Right Section Of The Signage Is The Interactive Section Where The Upcoming Numbers Are Displayed Just Like People Queuing For Their Turn. There Would Also Be Short Animation To Have Some Form Of Interactions.

As Patient Visit To Hospital, They Should Go To The Counter & Receive The Educational Material & Get Instructions From The Medical Personnel.

The Patient Will Read The Guidance On The Educational Material & Follow The Map To Find His/her Destination With The Guidance Of The Signage Board Along The Way.

Once The Treatment Is Done, The Patient Will Be Guided To The Counter To Proceed The Payment / Purchase Medicine. Following This, They Will Be Guided Back To The Exit.

As Patient Visit To Hospital, They Should Go To The Information Counter To Receive The Educational Material & Get Instructions From The Medical Personnel.

Patient Can Download Med+c App By Scanning The QR Code On The Educational Material. After That, Appointment Can Be Booked Through The App, And Patient May Find The Location Using The App.

The App Location Guide Can Be Interacted With The Signage Board To Help People Find Their Location Easier. Once Everything Is Done, They Will Be Guided Back To The Exit.

We Explored 3 Ways To Enable The Prototype Able To Be Displayed On The Showcase.

We Use Cardboard & Paper To Make Our Signage Board. First, We Glued 5 Pieces Of Cardboard Together To Become The Screen Of The Signage Board. After That, We Made A Roll-out Of Paper & Fixed A Long Piece Of Paper To The Left And Right Rolls. Finally, A Signage Board Prototype That Can Be Moved By Rolling Left & Right Is Completed.

This Prototype Follows The Method Of Making Animation In The Old Period And Realizes The Animation Of Our Signage Board By Scrolling The Picture One By One.
