At first the HR department came to us with the task of making a series of T-shirts for employees that would be gifted on the anniversaries of people working in the company. The idea was to use some character as an example to show certain stages of employee growth.
Then it became clear that a character with whom Solbeg employees could associate themselves is needed not only for T-shirts, we generally need a character who could enrich the corporate visual style, attract attention and strengthen the bond between the company and the employee, create a more effective visual communication.
So, owl Solly was born :)
Our main goal was to create an owl mascot that feels cool, catchy, with a touch of healthy owl aggression. And we've started with sketches.
After presenting several variants of characters, it immediately became clear that an owl with character and charisma responded to everyone, was chosen as our mascot.
At next step, T-shirts were designed, reflecting the maturation and development of the character, turning him from inquisitive, but not entirely confident, into energetic, active and a little daring. The series ends with a T-shirt for team leads, where we see the team.
And you can also interact with corporate merch for our employees which was made based on the character.
