Types of Nuts and Bolts
There are so many nuts and bolts out there it's easy to feel overwhelmed when trying to buy the right one. Here is a rundown of the most common types, what they're typically used for, and why you should use them.
Screws are handy for attaching boards or pieces together if you want more than two connections on either side of the board. Phillips head screws make starting threads easier, though some people prefer a slot-head screw which provides less visible threads. They can also be taken apart easily with just a screwdriver or even your fingers if you make sure they are not rusty or stuck too tightly in place.
