This is a coffee table I created for a customer using mahogany and red oak. Curved and carved to create a sculptural take on the retro kidney bean style table.
The red oak on the base was chemically ebonized and stained black to create an extra rich black.
I attached the top using a large pin with a wedge in contrasting wood.
