Prism Perfume Concept
Another RW Submission
This was another mini-project I created as a submission for a friendly render competition called Render Weekly.
Design
There's not much to say here. The original concept was 'twisted prism' and the prism did actually rotate around the y-axis. However, the resulting renderings were too confusing and chaotic. While I liked the idea, they were just not as successful as the simple prism.
So, I went back and simplified the design and the results were pretty pleasing.
Process
There were quite a few requests for a tutorial on how I lit this project. So, I went ahead and recorded a process video breaking down the key steps I took to produce this set of images.
Like many shorter 'sprint' or 'sketch' projects I do, there's always more that could be done to complete the project or to fill out the concept. In this case, it'd be fun to see what branding might look like for this product along with some packaging shots too.
Perhaps I'll revisit sometime and spend some time exploring the branding and packaging around this concept. But realistically, probably not.
