This year I had the pleasure to realise the main title for the famous Italian TV series Boris 4, produced by The Walt Disney Company Italia and broadcast exclusively on Disney+ after more than 10 years of waiting.
The main title opens with a subjective camera inside the Cartocci Studios, the historical location where the first three seasons were set. The shot advances towards Boris's aquarium before being sucked into a vortex that projects it into a new dimension, the one in which the fourth chapter of the series takes place.
The scene moves forward and two waves open up like a curtain, acting as a transition between the two scenes and symbolising the Crossing the Red Sea, a biblical narration from Exodus and the key to the entire theme song. In the fourth season, in fact, the production team of "The Eyes of the Heart", led once again by director Renè Ferretti, is struggling with the production of the TV series "Life of Jesus", which is why the script of the main title was constructed taking some biblical narratives into consideration.
The ending, as well as the opening, pays tribute to previous seasons in which Boris, going beyond some elements of the logo being composed, becomes an integral part of it.
