Animation Tribe is an online animation school focused on teaching traditional animation techniques applied in the CG field. Their goal is to offer a solid education about animation as well as develop the necessary production skills required to secure a job in the industry.
The logo I designed is inspired by the Moai, the mysterious sculptures on Easter Island. The logo is developed on the basis of simple, elementary shapes that convey a sense of solidity. The minimal approach of the form recalls the features of the faces of these particular statues and the shape of the letter T the initial of the word "Tribe".
In addition, the same logo element is also a virtual assistant that will guide student to use the online platform (a bit like Clippy of the Office program ... do you remember?).
