THE INTENTION
The intention of this work is to create a profile archive of 53 Vietnamese-minorities and to re-introduce these ethnic groups to the readers.
THE SITUATION
Today, many of these groups are little to be known of by not only the outsiders but also the local. Throughout this research, I have found out these minority groups have more or less made connection with the modern world, we start to see the exchange between cultures happening. However, these cultural exchanges have impacted the way of living of these ethnic people; their traditional culture starts losing its true value due to the process of commercialization.
THE LOOK
The traditional look of each group is translated into solid, simple graphic shapes and patterns. This brings out the uniqueness in which distinguish them from each other.
THE CATALOG
This catalog is a tool that introduces these Minority groups to the public. The information is significant; included the people's manners, their contribution, population, special skill sets etc. My hope is through this catalog, it would motivate readers to learn and explore further about the true Vietnamese culture and maybe help to reserve it!
THE MAP / THE POSTER
The map is summing-up of all the minority people, where to find them and their populations (2005 Stat).
