Proposal for design work for annual music festival - Class work
This was one of my absolute favorite projects that I've worked on in the Graphic Design program so far. It was a group project in which we came up with a design proposal and presentation for Fonk Fest 2012, an actual music festival on the East Coast.
We were given the specifications of what we had to design (Logo/Identity, Promotional Poster, Invitation set, T-shirt design, button design, thank you notes, letterhead, and an additional promo piece of our choosing). All of these had to be created and presented at the end of the project however we wanted; our group decided to create informational hand-outs for during the presentation with all the design information, pricing, and specifications of each piece so that the rest of the class and the "client" could follow along and have something to look at.
For the project I created the button design and physical buttons, promotional poster, and informational hand-outs for during the presentation.
Below are a few shots of the work I personally created for the project.
For the presentation I wanted something that we could hand out to the class, or "clients", so they would have something to look through while we were talking, and something they could look at to see breakdowns of prices and specifications, rather than just throwing information at them and expecting them to take in all in.
I created a handfull of these promotional kits. They are made of old record sleeves. I printed a large "ribbon" to go around the outside, so you could still access the information inside, but covered up the record title and information on the outside.
