2022 PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE CONCERT
Visual Design Concept
A river in an ancient city ripples gently with the wind, sparkling under the sunlight. Kites soar over a fishing harbor, and the sound of children's laughter rises and falls. In this city where technology and culture are intertwined, it is the wind that links together chains of beautiful memories.
The main visual of the 2022 Presidential Office Concert combines the landscape of Hsinchu with the aesthetics of Chinese characters. Peering through the panes of the window-like characters 風 (wind) and 湧 (rise), one can see jade green water and blue skies reflected in one another, while the gold lines weaving through these characters represent a silver lining on dark clouds. This visual uses refreshing colors to express a sense of clarity, symbolizing a rising wind that clears the clouds away, and too clears the heart and mind.
Preface
In recent times, we have worked together to overcome all manner of challenges, and have come to appreciate more profoundly that every time we meet in person, we create shared memories to be cherished.
The performances at the 2022 Presidential Office Concert embody these memories, transformed by the winds into music and song. Carrying with them the weight of life, each composition rides the winds blowing through the city gates, its houses, streams, and old trees; sweeping past its high-rises, factories, reservoirs, and dams; and taking its melodies from the mountains to the sea, from the past into the future.
The story of this concert is of winds barreling through the corridor of time, injecting new life into generation after generation and changing its form according to their needs. I hope today's music delivers a sense of calm and settles your spirit.
