This is the way the lava would have flowed down and damaged the country's infrastructure. I felt compelled to take a video of the area, before another eruption occurs in the same area.
On 03-08-2022 at At 13:18, a volcanic eruption began in the western part of Meradalir, about 1.5 km north of Stóra-Hrút. The fire originates from a 360m-long fissure in the western side of Merardalahnjúk. The eruption ended on 21, August 2022
