Extraterrestrial Arts, based in Accra-Ghana, is a talent management company on a mission.
Its ambition is to become a multinational and multicultural company that will look to home for deserving and appealing young talents across all spheres—music, sports, arts—and help them reach their full potential, as well as provide a platform for them to attain a global level of acclaim.
They needed a brand that will reflect this ambition, so they reached out to us to help make it possible.
Building an outstanding global brand.
The brand identity stems from the brand values and personality we defined during our creative strategy sessions.We created a symbol for their logo—an E-T-A monogram inspired by the adinkra symbol 'woforo dua pa a', which translates directly in English as 'when you climb a good tree'. This symbol—which stands for "support for good causes"—reflects Extraterrestrial Arts' mission to support outstanding Ghanaian talent and culture.
We complemented the symbol with the company's name written in a bold, uppercase sans serif typeface. This was further explored to create a versatile secondary logo that will adapt to the broad range of touchpoints.
The symbol was also explored to create a brand pattern that forms a central part of the design system alongside the typography and color palette. We also developed a brand guideline to further direct how the identity can be activated across every touchpoint.
