Created to celebrate of Black History Month 2022 at Western Carolina University. I partnered with photographers Caitlyn Penna and Ashley Evans to create an illustrative portrait series of some of the black faculty and staff of WCU. Through interviews and the reading of their own personal essays, I sought to give each person an illustrated environment that showcased their personalities, their words, and their spirit.
