Denver broncos roster showcase
With the addition of Russell Wilson to the already talented squad, Denver Broncos fans finally have a real reason to hope for a great season. Being one of those fans myself, I decided to create a poster that would showcase the entire Broncos roster that will try to get Denver back to the glory that they deserve.
Let's Ride
The most important addition the Broncos got, not just during this last off-season, but since March 20, 2012, the date Peyton Manning signed a five-year 96 million dollar contract to come play in Mile High City. If Russ will get the same success as The Sheriff remains to be seen, but what is apparent is Wilson's influence in the community which quickly made all of Bronco Country embrace him. His catchphrase "Let's Ride" took off and became an instant hit on social media, and it remains to be seen will the team see the same amount of success, but things are looking bright in Denver.
Two-Headed Monster
The running duo of Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon III is widely considered one of the best in the entire league, and for a good reason. The duo combined for over 1800 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, and with Javonte entering his second year in the league there is a huge belief around the league that Williams is going to have a strong sophomore campaign after being at the top of the league in broken tackles as a rookie. On the other side, Gordon is set to get less caries than he did last year, but he is a great receiving back which will probably come to play as well. All that said, fans are in for a treat watching these two tear up defenses in the upcoming season!
Stacked receiving core
Broncos receiving core is filled with young weapons that suffered from mediocre quarterback play during the past seasons, but with Russ taking over things are finally set to change. Major blow will be the loss of Tim Patrick, one of the most underrated and reliable receivers in the league, but depth on the position is most certainly not an issue. Sutton is the perfect target for Wilsons offense, a big body receiver capable with coming down with 50/50 bombs down the field and there is no doubt he will have a great year. Jerry Jeudy is also set for a breakout year, after leading the entire NFL in average yards of separation last year, as he is finally going to be able to showcase how much he can do with a Hall of Fame quarterback throwing him the pigskin. KJ Hamler returning from an injury will be a big boost for this offense since his speed is going to open up the field for all the receiving targets. Not to forget Albert O who was practically TE1 last year, as well as rookie acquisition Greg Dulcich. All in all, this core is poised for a huge boost in production.
Elite secondary
Between the best free safety in the NFL in Justin Simmons, an insanely talented young corner in Pat Surtain II and hard-hitting strong safety in Kareem Jackson, Denver boasts one of the strongest secondary groups in the entire league, not to forget Ronald Darby and newly acquired slot corner in K'Waun Williams, Broncos have plenty of playmakers in the secondary which they are for sure going to need in order to stop all the pass heavy offenses in the AFC West.
Great supporting cast
Besides all previously mentioned, Broncos have plenty more difference makers, most notably a fifth-year pass rusher Bradley Chubb and a second-team All-Pro LT Garrett Bolles. Players like Dre'mont Jones and Malik Reed are set to have a big impact, as well as some new faces like DJ Jones and rookie Nik Bonito. All in all, this broncos squad is going to be competitive in every game this year.
Final words
This project was very enjoyable to make, since I got to put all of my creativity to use, and showcase my favorite team and all of their playmakers, some of which sometimes get overlooked. It also helped me get experience in making graphics in horizontal frame contrary to the usual 4:5 frame, which helped me learn new skills and get new viewpoints that I did not get to experience before.
