is a Major papal basilica as well as one of the Seven Pilgrim Churches of Rome and the largest Catholic Marian church in Rome, Italy, was built in 432. The Basilica is also where famous architect Bernini is buried. 

The Basilica is said to be fallen miraculously from the summit of Esquiline Hill to its current location in 358 AD.

18th century baroque facade along with spectacular 5th century mosaics that depict stories from the Old Testament. The image displays the coronation of Virgin Mary.

The façade is the magnificent work of Ferdinand Fuga.
