This work was inspired by the same word of its title and its meaning. The use of red gouache has the function to symbolize the vulnerable part of the subject and ourselves.
This is not just about me, but others that see their physical differences as a break
in their shield. It happens in particular when you’re a child, and people make you notice how much you stand out
in the crowd. They make you fear yourself, your mind, your body, your nerves, your delicacy.
