It is difficult to convince a child that there is no monster. Children have too violent a fantasy for this. You can go the other way, saying that the monster is not dangerous. During the day, he is not under the bed, because he does good deeds on the street.
When it gets dark and everyone is asleep, he returns to the room. And he's so quiet that adults can't hear him.
Let the child try to draw what the monster can do during the day- feed birds, clean up garbage, help grandmothers cross the road, grow flowers. Let the child give a name to his monster and all this will help them make friends.
