The Children’s Cancer Run is an annual fun run, held to raise funds for a local children’s charity. Now in it’s 32nd year the event has raised over £6 million and attracts more than 10,000 runners.
While the event is incredibly successful, the run has the capacity to raise more money for charity by attracting more runners and encouraging those who do run to raise more sponsorship.
We used illustration to communicate the experience of the Children’s Cancer Run, complete with runners in costume, people of all ages and the famous Greggs picnic which each finisher receives. This was applied to posters, adverts, programmes, tshirts and medals.
A simple two colour design was both cost effective and stood out in a crowded media landscape.
The Children’s Cancer Run 2014 takes place in May 2014, the response to the new creative has been very positive and we are monitoring ticket sales against those of previous years.
