One of the main goals was to achieve a photo-realistic look on 3D models including huge textures, without exploding scene/textures size, rendering and transfer time between studios.
I used my knowledge in video games to improve quality through UV and textures optimisation. Trying to achieve the perfect amount of details depending on camera frames and angles. The best balance between quality and performance.
Whithout a strong knowledge of VRay when I started, I managed to learn fast, relying on my strong skills in using photoshop to produce huge and detailed textures and shaders of old and dirty woods, metals and fabrics.
