Simple Animation for a Medical Procedure
I have been asked by an interventional radiologist to make an animation about a procedure where a catheter is inserted in the patient blood vessels and a kind of balloon is inflated to stop a shunt and redirect blood flow.
I did the organs and blood vessels using adobe illustrator then animated the arrows and the catheter using adobe aftereffects.
This animation was made for educational purpose to be used as a supplement material in a presentation in a medical conference.
Having a medical background helped me to get the job done smoothly and made the explanation of this medical intervention easier, I understood the anatomical positioning and the movement of the shunt and the catheter.
