The colour palette has been named ripple&, once again, as an ode to mushroom gills and integrates tones found in nature such as dark brown bark, warm sand, ochre, terracotta, and floral lilac. The looks presented in this collection exude the essence of nature, organic aesthetics, and a communication of beauty in its purest form. (Mishra, 2020) Designers known for working with pleating as a main method of fabrication in their works, such as Issey Miyake, often draw inspiration from nature as pleats can be manipulated to resemble natural elements such as growth rings on the inside of trees or growing roots.
