Sugarbird Gin Label Redesign
This project aimed at redesigning the label of a local South African gin brand. The project tasked me with 3 label redesigns; the first in traditional media print, the second in mixed media print and the final in digital form. 
I have chosen Sugarbird Gin and have aimed to convey a look and feel of craft and artistry while staying true to the brand identity of Sugarbird.

Traditional Media Label Design
For my traditional media label design, I chose to experiment with lino cut, potato press and ink press. I wanted my design to feel elegant and classy and as such, settled on ink pressing. Ink pressing allowed me to create shape forms that felt intentionally expressionist.

Mixed Media Label Design
For my mixed media label design, I opted for hand drawn illustrations. These illustrations were drawn, scanned and then added to my design. I aimed for illustrations that felt dainty, minimal and elegant

Digital Media Label
For my final digital label, I chose to pay homage to the feathers of the sugarbird while combining the colors of the juniper berry ingredients into a striking navy label. The layout of the label follows the same design as the previous examples to ensure design congruency.
