As a well-known international diamond processing business group, Cheung Ning has transformed from a traditional family firm to be international listed company. It hopes to gain more attention by presenting an all new brand image at the exhibition.

Due to the increasing concerns on environmental issues, it is important to incorporate the concept of environmental protection into the exhibition design. We have reconsidered deeply about the definition and responsibility of design to find a new balance between practicability and ornamentality. The recyclable pipes we adopted increased the usability and reduced the wastage.

For the cocoon shaped booth, we got inspiration from “seed”, which symbolizes the source and beginning of life. As for the construction, we adopted steel frames to bring a mass volume with “flexible” space. Stripes of cotton were adopted covering the steel frames to set up the skin, turning out a soft flexible appearance and serving as sound proof device. This kind of pipes can be produced separately and assembled on-site. What’s more, it can be re-used and re-assembled for next usage – it’s really an environmental friendly exhibition booth.
