Observation is a method of research that consists in the intentional perception of an object without the intervention of the subject - the spectator - in its action. Observation is usually perceived as a passive detached process, as a refusal to participate in the moment. However, the theory of the observer effect says that a simple contemplation of the phenomenon inevitably changes it. So why do we call this practice passivity? Where is the line between observation and experiment?
