"Into the sea time" is an independent project, which involves illustrations, collages, texts, poetry and experiments through the eyes of the artist Caliandra Marina Arrais.
É um convite a observar as pequenas nuances do tempo, no movimento cíclico da vida.
Sentir o tempo, nos leva pra um lugar já conhecido, mas muitas vezes esquecido ao nosso próprio olhar. Estar nessa presença em meio à natureza, nos faz entender que para sentir o tempo, basta apreciar e se encontrar nas sutilezas da vida, no momento em que se está.
Is an invitation to observe the small nuances of time, in the cyclical movement of life.
Feeling the time, takes us to a place that is already known, but often forgotten to our own eyes. Being in this presence in the middle of nature, made me understand to feel time, just observe and find yourself in these subtleties of life, at the moment you are.
A ideia principal do projeto é a de possibilitar diferentes vivências e ramificações desse conceito a partir de uma sequência de exposições em uma mostra itinerante.
A mostra contará com 16 quadros originais das ilustrações que vão compor o futuro livro "No Tempo do Mar", além de uma pequena série de fotografias, textos e poesias escritos pela artista.
The main idea of the project is to enable different experiences and ramifications of this concept in a sequence of traveling exhibitions.
The exhibition will feature 16 original paintings of the illustrations that will compose the future book "Into the sea time", in addition to a small series of photographs, texts and poetry written by the artist.
Esse projeto nasceu ao observar a simplicidade na relação das crianças com os elementos do mar e da natureza - os novos significados que esses pequenos fragmentos de tempo ganham, dentro do universo mágico da infância.
This project was born from observing the simplicity in the children's relationship with the elements of the sea and nature - the new meanings that these small fragments of time gain, within the magical universe of childhood.
O tempo passa como num sopro de vento, como o vai-e-vem das ondas, e que se apresenta de formas diferentes a cada momento.
Time passes like a breath of wind, like the coming and going of the waves, and that presents itself in different ways at each moment.
Os ciclos da natureza também foram inspiração e guia para esse projeto, desde a conceitualização através de uma paleta de cores vivas até as composições em camadas com cada elemento fazendo parte desse todo, criando assim um trabalho rico em poéticas baseadas nessa temática: noite, dia - sol, lua - tempestade, calmaria.
The cycles of nature were also inspiration and guide for this project, from the conceptualization through a palette of vivid colors to the layered compositions with each element being part of this whole, thus creating a work rich in poetics based on this theme: night, day - sun, moon - storm, calm.
Todas essas ilustrações fazem parte de um livro-poesia, (que ainda será publicado), a temática fala sobre o tempo que a natureza nos proporciona, ao observarmos e nos conectarmos com o momento presente.
All these illustrations are part of a book-poetry, (which is yet to be published), the theme talks about the time that nature gives us, when we observe and connect with the present moment.

Esse projeto é uma homenagem aos meus pais, que me guiaram pelas estrelas, e que desde criança, me mostraram no tempo do mar os ensinamentos sobre a vida.
Sentir o tempo passar dessa forma, me faz resgatar as minhas muitas memórias dessa criação livre em meio a natureza, o que eu busco proporcionar também para o meu filho e que me inspira tanto.
This project is a tribute to my parents, who guided me through the stars, and who, since I was a child, showed me the teachings about life at sea.
Feeling time pass like this makes me rescue my many memories of this free creation in the midst of nature, which I also seek to provide for my son and that inspires me so much.
O projeto como um todo tem um potencial incrível com a possibilidade de oficinas de arte e criatividade para adultos e crianças explorando toda essa temática.
